Coronavirus: Staying Safe & Helping Neighbours

March 23.

Dear Neighbour,

CONRONAVIRUS (CO-VID 19)

Sometime this week I'm going to be knocking on doors with others from the tenants' group. Don't worry: we'll be standing well back (at least 6 feet) from the doorway when we call.

We need to stay safe.

For all of us this means going out as little as possible;and for people over 70 and those with underlying health conditions, it means staying at home--others should be doing the shopping.

The coronavirus crisis is likely to worsen and continue for several months. Many in London and the UK will die. We all must take the utmost care of ourselves and, as far as possible, we must care for neighbours.

The tenants' group wants to find out:

· Who needs help with shopping, picking up prescriptions, etc.

· Who can do shopping for others

· Who can provide safe doorway company for people who need a chat

· Ideas for online and balcony/doorway events/get-togethers (e.g. in Spain and Italy people are playing music from balconies at certain times of the day)
